Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask but I’m feeling overwhelmed with how best to look after my 2 year olds curly hair.

I have thick straight hair and she’s taken after her dad with fine curls. Sadly dad’s side of the family’s hair advice is “just brush it with a wet comb and let it dry” which doesn’t seem to work…

Routine is currently
- tried curly hair shampoo (Johnson) and a leave in conditioner spray and that seems to work when it’s wet/damp but as soon as she’s been out and active, they all seem to merge just become a fluffy lions mane.

I’ve seen theirs products out their for curly hair but am worried about what’s “toddler safe” and I don’t want to buy lots of products that I’m clueless about only to find she’s got a different hair type or I’m using it wrong etc.

Her hair is really long (when wet it’s at her lower back) but as soon as it dries, it coils up into quite tight coils.

Tried to put some pictures on if that helps for advice as well.

  1. after a wash and is currently drying
  2. after a day of “normal” activity
3)slightly better picture curls she’s got
