Returning to Tamagotchi & Shopping in Japan- Advice needed!
So I was a HUGE tamagotchi fan growing up, had the connection and the original ones. It’s been years, and I bought an original one a few years back but got bored quickly. Mainly because it was so demanding and I’m an adult with work now! I’m overwhelmed by all the new options, since I’ve been out of the game for 20~ years!
I’m going to Japan later this week, and plan to go to the Tamagotchi factory in Harajuku and DEFINITELY buy a tamagotchi paradise. First question is about the Paradise- how do Tama Lab locations work? Do I need to get to a certain point on my game to be able to use them? I ask since there is a Tama Lab in the store and a ton across Japan, I intend to drop into as many as possible after I buy mine, but I wasn’t sure if I need to make sure I get to a certain point first.
Second question- I am debating on buying other tamagotchis if I come across them. The Uni looks cute and fun, but I’m afraid I’ll get bored if it’s just decorating? And what is gameplay like the Pix or ON? Any other types you suggest? There’s another color type tamagotchi I’ve seen, but I don’t know which one it is.. looks similar to Uni I think? I know some can be hard to find, it’s more like IF I come across one of another desired type debating what I would find the most enjoyment out of. We plan on going into second hand gaming stores, so I might find other types as well. and of course if anyone has store recommendations I would much appreciate it :)
