Thinking about selling my Steam Deck OLED for a PS5 Pro

My current setup is a gaming PC (5070 Ti 9800x3d 32gb) plus a Steam Deck OLED and a Switch 2.

I’m debating selling the Steam Deck OLED and putting the money toward a PS5 Pro. Main reason is GTA 6 day one, Marvel’s Wolverine, and maybe future PlayStation exclusives.

I can probably get around $750 for the Deck right now, which is more than I paid for it, but I’m not sure if I’d regret selling it.

Has anyone been in a similar spot? Would you sell the Deck and grab a PS5 Pro, or keep it since I already have a strong PC?l

Buying a USED PS5 Pro, what should I look out for?

I’m thinking about buying a PS5 Pro used because I want to play GTA 6, Marvel’s Wolverine, and other future titles day one.

The thing is, paying close to $1k after tax feels kinda hard to justify when I already have a strong PC (5070 Ti, 9800X3D, 32GB)

I’ve been seeing used PS5 Pros on FB Marketplace for around $600–$700 in “excellent” condition, so that seems like the better route.

For anyone who has bought one used, what should I look out for before buying? Any red flags, ways to tell if it’s been opened/tampered with, or things I should test in person? Should the device fans be relatively silent when idle or playing games?

Also, would open box from Best Buy/eBay be safer, or is Marketplace fine as long as I test it first?

does buying a used ps5 pro make sense for gta 6?

i sold my steam deck oled for $750 and i've come to terms that i really want a ps5 pro for gta 6. i have a powerful pc already (5070ti 9800x3d 32gb) but i wanna play gta 6 day one.

does the ps5 pro ever go on sale? perhaps back to it's original price? i read something about a yearly event during july? is it likely that the console will go on sale for $750?

Steam Deck OLED 512GB + Valve Warranty Until 2027 Estimate?

I’m trying to figure out a good price for my Steam Deck OLED 512GB.

It was purchased directly from Valve in January 2026 during the latest drop, so it should still have Valve warranty coverage until 2027. It also hasn’t been used much, is in mint condition, battery health shows 100%, and it works perfectly.

Included with it:

Steam Deck OLED 512GB
Original charger and case
JSAUX protective case
JSAUX dock
SanDisk 128GB microSD card

What would be a fair asking price for this bundle? Would $650–$750 be too high, or is that reasonable with the warranty, condition, and accessories included?

Is it crazy to buy a PS5 Pro just for GTA 6?

I currently have a pretty strong PC with a 5070 Ti, 9700X3D, and 32GB of RAM, so obviously it’s significantly more powerful than a PS5 Pro.

But lately I’ve been debating buying a PS5 Pro just for GTA 6. I know it sounds kind of crazy to buy a whole console for one game, but GTA 6 is probably the one game where I’d actually consider doing it, especially if the PC version comes way later.

Is anyone else thinking about doing the same, or am I just being dumb?

Note: I'd probably buy a used one since they seem to go for $600-700.
