OK, so last October I parked my Cub. It was running perfectly. Today I went to start it for the first time since (with new plugs and fuel filter), and it wouldn't start. It has a strong crank, good spark on both plugs, good compression, air filter was assembly removed for optimal air flow, all good fuel lines, drained old fuel added new, etc. Eventually I added some fuel (or starting fluid) to the carb and it would start and run strong for a moment, then die. Fuel starvation.

I figured either the carb isn't getting fuel, or the carb itself is the issue. I removed the carb end of the fuel line coming from the diaphragm fuel pump, and there isn't any fuel being forced out whenever the engine is cranking. I've assumed I should see the pump discharging fuel out this line, so I removed the diaphragm cover and inspected the diaphragm. Seemed nice and pliable, no tears or cracks, etc.

As I stated, I've assumed I should see fuel coming out of the line from the fuel pump, and that is where my problem is, but could it still be the carb is the problem?

Thanks.
