I feel like I missed a cutscene or something. I finished the area before this. I already knew that at least I could get an item or two in that big area north east with the recent abilities I had, but then immediately after getting into the desert, I'm told to go to the Great Mines to join everyone!

This is where I'm confused. When was that structure established to be an old mine? And why did everyone felt the need to go there all of a sudden. There was no talk, no build up. It just felt like a "juste because" thing. Super weird.

Everyone I had found and rescued before was happy to just let me go explore alone. Except this time. No explanation though.
