I already have the regular abysal and hadal equipment which allows me to fish for those BUT it will NOT let me fish for the hadal or abysal fish inside the sludge/goo.

I know for the other rods you upgraded them at the rig, but there isn’t an option for upgrading these ones (I’ve unlocked tier 3).

I need a kerygmachela for the scientist on the rig but literally can’t fish it no matter what I try and equip.

I’ve tried googling but all the answers are around initially unlocking hadal/abysal, rather than upgrading it!

In the image you can see I have hadal equipment installed, but because it doesn’t have the yellow chevron that “infused” rods have, it won’t allow me to fish here.
