Anyone else stall out and give up near the end?

I'm a pretty casual millenial gamer who plays mainly retro games (and semi-retro ie GCN). I've found it hard to "push past" certain sections of games, and find it too bad that I'm giving up on games after completing like 90% of the game.

I might be able to "abuse" save states sometimes to get it done, but that's no fun.

Anyone else find themselves in this situation?

Is there any sports league/division with a worse name than the NHL "Atlantic" (in *blue* here)? Only 3/8 teams are on the sea/ocean, including TB in the Gulf of Mexico.
