OK just wanted to share this experience. I wear frangrances and I want to smell them. I don't too much care about other people. I want the pleasant scents wafting up to MY nose. Anyone giving me a compliment I thank them perfunctorily and keep it moving.
From forums like these and Youtube I guess I learned about "nose blindness". And it's like a light came on. When I couldn't smell anything I simply up'ed the spray until one guy complimented me and actually choked/coughed at me. A coworker moved away and I had a clue why.
Anyway I love Aventus DNA and I've tried all sorts of clones/dupes whatever they're called. Which brings me to something I'm puzzled about. I got a bottle of CDNIM XP (EP?), the goddamn Extrait and thought SURELY I had it. I put in on the dresser for going out and did that without really noticing in all the excitement the life or lasting. I used other daily things, not Aventus clones/dupes, that I liked. Not sure why but I tried the CDNIM and was amazed at how weak it was. One hour later it was a total skin scent. I had to pull my undershirt out and stick my nose down it to get any smell at all.
TL;DR I think that's what I'm supposed to do. Anyway I made sure to spray the sheets, myself, and the dog to get rid of the CDNIM asap. I found some ALT frangrances that are TREMENDOUS. Exactly what I want. Smell nice and last all day where I can smell them. Just suprised and confused at CDNIM being so damn weak.
