For context, I am currently in the UK and work in the legal field. My situation is as follows:

- hold a graduate visa till Aug 2026
- Lived with my partner since December 2023
- Have an income that is above the £29,000 threshold
- my partner and I have been together for 3+ years

My qsts are:

- I’ve had an initial call with a well known law firm who have informed me that I can apply from within the UK. But this should be before my current visa expires. I have a trip planned in June, should I be applying after this trip or can I expect to receive the visa before if I apply for a priority option?

- The law firm has quoted me a £4,000 - £6,000 fee, this seems high. Is this a normal range ?

Any advice on self applying would also be appreciated 🙏

Just wanted to share this with my fellow SQE2 sitters. I came back from my orals today and ended up crying so much. Not because it went badly, but because the thought of doing it all over again tomorrow just feels like a lot. I tried to remind myself that it’s just one day left, but that didn’t work.

I’m honestly exhausted: from the stress, and from constantly feeling guilty whenever I’m not studying.

There’s just one more day to go, but I really needed to let that out. And of course, the question that keeps running through my mind is: have I done enough? I really hope I have… and I hope you all have too.

I’ve been doing mocks and with 2 days left for the exams, I still need to have a peak at my notes.
