I met a guy on a dating app 5 months. We hanged out for 3 days and after that he went to back to city where he stays now. We continued talking over texts and calls and he slowly started asking me for money saying his account is blocked as he has an overseas account so he will get it transferred to India
He claimed to be a pilot and I was added to his instagram and I checked his posts and everything and I believed he is a pilot but it turned out later on that he never finished his pilot training. He was working as a cabin crew previously before he lost his job a year ago so he is now jobless.
He took money from me slowly claiming that I need to clear my medicals and stuff otherwise I will lose my job and one day when I had some doubts I reached out to his friend on instagram which is how I got to know that I have been scammed and his friend has been scammed too
He has a betting addiction and he was also involved with some overseas scams so the upi ids he made me pay to on his name belonged to scamsters but I have also made transfers to his bank accounts from my accounts
I spoke to his dad afterwards and he promised to return my money till March end but its almost April end now and he still hasn’t returned my money.
He is asking me to wait till mid May now and I cannot wait anymore
I am planning to file a cyber and a police complaint
Is there anything else I can do to get my money back
