Looking for student freelancers

Ubizz is looking for student freelancers.

You must be currently enrolled in full/part time post-secondary education or a recent graduate (within the last 18 months)

We work primarily with North American and UK companies and therefore local students are preferred.

English proficiency is required.

Please note: applications are subject to a vetting process so don't apply unless you meet the criteria.

Calling all small business owners

I'm currently running a platform that partners vetted university students with businesses. I'd like to think its a better version of Upwork, its specifically targeted towards small businesses as students can have the greatest impact.

But let me know, if your a founder, small business owner etc, do you think what I'm building is worth it. Do you wish you had a student you could potentially outsource your work too.

After all the most important part of business is your time.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.

Have a great day!!

Student Freelancing

Building Ubizz, which connects students with small businesses that need work done. Design, marketing, social media, websites etc.

If you have spare time and genuine skills, this could act as a supplemental income.

Need to be enrolled in post-secondary or graduated within the last 18 months. International is fine as long as you speak English and have a flexible schedule.

Curious if people would actually be interested in something like this?

Student networking and freelancing

I’ve noticed a lot of students have useful skills (design, editing, social media, coding, tutoring, etc.) but still struggle to get real experience because of how competitive the job market has become.

At the same time, a lot of smaller businesses seem to need affordable help for short-term projects but don’t always know where to find students.

Because of that, I’ve been working on something called “Ubizz,” focused on connecting students (only) with businesses for freelance-style projects and experience.

The idea is hopefully to help students build experience, earn extra income, and ease some of the financial pressure that comes with university and college.

Hello everyone,

I’m currently building a platform that connects talented university and college students with businesses looking for support or some fresh ideas.

We’re in the very early stages of launching and looking to partner with a small number of trial businesses. We already have nearly 100 students enrolled who are keen to gain real-world experience and add some value across areas like marketing, operations, research and more.

If you’re a small business owner and interested in getting some extra support while helping students develop their skills, I’d love to connect and share more details.

And if anyone has any questions or concerns I will try to be as active as possible in the comments !!

Thanks for the support!

Hello everyone,

I'm a international student at Laurier University and my time in Canada has shown me how difficult it is to get a job here. If you've been struggling as well and have some genuine skills, I am trying to create a platform which essentially acts like Upwork (freelancing) but only for students in post-secondary education are allowed to join.

If you have some freelance skills and a flexible schedule or just need some money to help paying for tuition anybody is welcome.

If you have any questionsI will try and answer the comments diligently.

Good afternoon,

I’m studying at Wilfrid Laurier and currently building a small business that connects talented university and college students with businesses looking for support or some fresh ideas.

We’re in the very early stages of launching and looking to partner with a small number of trial businesses (small businesses are perfect). We already have nearly 100 students enrolled who are keen to gain real-world experience and add some value across areas like marketing, operations, research and more.

If you’re a small business owner and interested in getting some extra support while helping students develop their skills, I’d love to connect and share more details.

And if anyone has any questions or concerns I will try to be as active as possible in the comments, the platform runs similar to Upwork, except its strictly for students, you can help them by giving them genuine experience and in return you get connected with a really talented candidate.

Thanks for the support!

From what I hear most business owners I talk to have one or two things holding them back. Usually being a task they can't afford to outsource but don't have time to do themselves. Marketing, design, research, or website production.

So I am building Ubizz because of that. We are trying to connect university and college students who can actually do the work using their experience from the degree their pursue and the knowledge from other projects they work on. It's essentially Upwork but the students are pre-vetted and is more affordable. We are encouraging businesses to join now.

Thanks for your time.

I understand how difficult it is at the moment to work on a project, especially solo, or when it's in early development, so I'm here to help.

I am currently working on my site Ubizz, where it connects vetted university students with small businesses to help with tasks that are bottlenecking you. I found that when working as a solopreneur I would let specific things like designing a really nice website or SEO optimization hold me back, but I couldn't afford to hire an agency that would charge me $3000. So... the solution, why not connect really talented students who are in need of experience with these companies in need of support, a win-win situation.

I would love to know people's thoughts, check out Ubizz's work and if you know someone out there running their own business that just hasn't taken off yet let them know, there's help waiting.
