My fingers smelt like poo sometimes even after washing with soap. Will the smell/particles/ molecules have transferred to the things I touched like paper?

Context: I used to wash with soap and water down there after the toilet. Then washed my hands after as this is how I was brought up culturally. There weren’t ‘material’ left on my fingers but noticed that the smell on some days lingered right after.

I've since started to wipe before washing with water and soap to reduce the particles I touch. But now that I've adopted this, I'm so paranoid of all things I touched before and if I made them 'poopy'/dirty.

Context is the question going around na if youre in a forest, would you rather be in it with a man or a bear, and halos lahat ng women choose the bear.

I see some stats that say 2/3 of graduates dont practice law, leaving more job openings for those who do want to practice. Is this necessarily good? Doesn’t this mean that there are 2/3 of graduates who couldn’t practice law because there were less openings?

I’m a computer science graduate and job hunting was HELL. Down in the dumps hell. I’m working somewhere else now unrelated to my degree. I’m passionate about law, but don’t want to put money in a degree I’m not gonna end up using like what happened to me with CS.

I’m going to go back to school and choosing between Law (passion) and Nursing (in high demand) but if law job hunting experience is anything like Computer Science, I’m going with Nursing.

Hi all,

career advice lang for me na aspiring siguro maging lawyer o makapasok sa law field dito sa AU. A little about me, citizen ako and finished computer science pero not currently working in my field. May plano akong bumalik sa schooling sa future.

Right now Law speaks the loudest to me, kahit siguro nursing ang pinakasafest option (immunity sa AI and offshoring).

Ang konting setback sa sarili ko is feel ko average to advanced or advanced yung English skills ko. Its definitely not near or close to native. And sa law feel ko na paldo dapat ang english mo, para sa mga arguments sa court na kailangan tuned in ka and down to admin work kung saan magddraft ka ng mga contrata o mga summaries.

Ang advice I’d like is, currently I’m trying to improve my english skills by watching TV shows na may comprehensible input (slower speaking speed), listening to audiobooks, while also being immersed din sa English by talking to people around me at work— kaya ba mag lawyer ng average-advanced english speaking skills lang?

Definitely may gap between sa tagalog and english speaking skills ko, tagalog being my native language, sobrang laki ng gap when it comes to expressing and processing my thoughts in english and tagalog; with english lagging behind. And dahil dito napapaduda ako kasi kailangan paldo talaga or baka matalo ako sa korte.

Also may advice din siguro, what has everyone tried para maging ganap or native yung language acquisition niyo? I’ve been here in AU for more than ten years, bumalik sa Pinas ng ilang taon and worked there and bumalik ulit dito. It wasn’t until coming back here again na I came to realize, and came to terms with, na my English was never as good as I thought it was, or was never as good as a native, and napapawonder ako how I made it through high school and uni here.

One thing bukod sa listening and speaking, is mageengage ako sa mga apps like quizlet and Anki para ma quiz ko yung sarili ko between english and tagalog translations to improve my active recall. One thing talaga na ina-avoid ko is writing English, siguro magiging sobrang helpful sa akin to pero after working and travelling to work 2+ hours, ang kaya lang ng energy ko now is to listen to and watch english content.
