This is my first time posting here.
My English born husband and I are living in Australia, where he's been for 40 years. We're now retired and would like to live out our retirement in Scotland. We haven't applied for my visa yet (waiting for the family court to send him a copy of his divorce certificate from 27 years ago?), but our home is currently on the market and we expect it to sell sooner rather than later. Once we get the certificate we'll apply for my visa from Australia, I'll do my biometrics here, but then we would like to go to Scotland and look for a property there.
My question is whether I can go to the UK on my current ETA and wait for the decision there. We're more than happy to do a quick trip to France for a few days if I have to be offshore for a decision.
