HDFC MoneyBack+ Query

Hey guys, yesterday I checked my pre-approved offers in HDFC (I hold SavingsMax acc) and I saw that MoneyBack+ was being provided LTF, other 2 options were Pixel and Swiggy Orange (paid).

So I went ahead applied for the Moneyback+, and it instantly got approved. Received Email and SMS for the same. Earlier today I received SMS with last 4 digits of my card and asking me to set PIN in MyCards app. I have not done that yet and will not do it until I get teh physical card.

At this point, I have not yet received the dispatch msg for the card which will probably take 3-4 days. But I have also not yet received any Email/SMS telling me the Credit Limit of the card.

So in afternoon I Emailed HDFC giving them the last 4 digits of the card, my customer ID and phonenumber and asking them to clarify what is the Credit Limit on the card and also confirm whether the card has any joining fee or renewal fee.

A few moments ago I received a reply which honestly seems like a generic copy paste BS. First half of the msg says that for security reasons they cannot share the Credit Limit. And in the second half they parrot the Annual Fee and Renewal Fee.

So I wanted to ask members who recently applied for MoneyBack+ as LTF, in the welcome Kit, does it mention that its LTF? Or did you receive and separate email that mentions the same?

Question about Split AC Indoor Unit

Hey folks, the evaporator coil of my 2011 lloyd 1-Ton non-inverter AC is gone. The u-bends on the PCB side (right side) have corroded quite badly.

The outdoor unit is doing well.

There is no possibility of repairing the evap coil and unfortunately in refrigerant and AC parts stores, evap coil is not available separately. But some shop keepers are saying that since its a non-inverter AC, I can replace the entire Indoor unit. They say that usually IDUs of Godrej and Whirlpool are usually available. The cost of a unit comes between 8500-10k

Do you guys think it would be a good idea to replace the IDU?

Hey folks! This last month has been quite frustrating trying to go through several posts and reviews and still not being able to finalize on a unit or even a brand.

My usage:

Room Size: ~120sqft

Duration: 10-13hrs daily for 4-5 months of summer, in monsoon season irregular use depending on humidity levels.

(8-10hrs overnight, 12pm/1pm-2pm, 4pm-5pm)

City: Hyderabad

So based on usage pattern, its certain I will have to go for a 5star unit.

Now coming to brands and models I am going to list out both 3star and 5star 1.5T units that I have researched a bit. All of these are 2026 models as per their product page.

I am hoping this post can act as a compilation that is useful to others as well.

The links are only for reference purposes. I will also try to opt for offline markets such as Vijaysales, Croma etc.

LG:

3 STAR > AS-Q18JNXE

5 STAR > AS-Q19YNZE1

----------------------------

3 STAR > AS-Q19MNXE

5 STAR > Not able to find MainStream ones

Whats the difference between AS-Q18JNXE and Q19MNXE ?

PANASONIC:

3 STAR >CS-SU18BKY3W/CU-SU18BKY3W

4 STAR > CS-NU18BKY4WX/CU-NU18BKY4WX

5 STAR > CS-NU18BKY5WX/CU-NU18BKY5WX

DAIKIN:

3 STAR > MTKL50XV16VKA/RKL50XV16VKA

4 STAR > FTKP50XV16VKA/RKP50XV16VKA

5 STAR > Not able to find MainStream ones

Would like the community to give their suggestions and correct me if I am wrong with any of the listings I have mentioned. Will keep updating this post.

For redditors from Hyderabad, pls give yuor opinion on which 5 Star unit I should go for based on your experience with after sales service.

I am hoping this is not the wrong place to ask this question, tried searching for a couple of subs couldnt find any appropriate one. Mods please do remove if it doesnt fit here.

Last month I got my AC serviced and gas recharging was also done. Its a 10yr old 1T lloyd AC which is nearing its End of life.

Last night I noticed slightly less cooling so I opened the front flap to check and there was icing on teh evap as in the image. Theres however no icing on the discharge/suction line on the ODU. Air filters are also clean. So I am trying to figure out why icing is happening.

I have run the AC for about 2hrs from 1pm to 3pm and there has been no icing
