Working on something to help people understand dealer add-ons after they already bought the car

I’ve been going down the rabbit hole of car buying paperwork lately, and one thing that seems way more confusing than it should be is what happens after someone signs and later realizes they paid for add-ons they didn’t really want.

Stuff like extended warranties, GAP, tire & wheel, paint protection, theft protection, service contracts, dealer packages, and other extras that get added in the finance office.

Some of those products can make sense for certain people. But from what I’ve seen, a lot of buyers don’t fully understand what they bought until later, especially when everything is rolled into the monthly payment.

I’m working on a simple tool/service that would let someone upload their purchase paperwork, with personal info removed, and get a clear breakdown of what each add-on is, what looks optional, what may be cancellable, and what steps they can take if they want to try to cancel it.

Basically: less “you got scammed” and more “here’s what you bought, here’s what might be removable, and here’s how to handle it without guessing.”

Curious if this is actually useful, or if most people who regret add-ons are able to figure out the cancellation process on their own.

I'm building a tool that tells you if a used car is a hidden money pit (before you buy). Would you pay for something like this?

Hey everyone, I've been lurking here and I keep seeing people ask "is this a good deal?" on used cars. So I'm thinking of building a simple tool that gives you the known problems for that specific model, estimated repair costs for the next couple of years, and a red/yellow/green flag based on real data. I'm not selling anything yet, just trying to figure out if this is actually useful. Would you pay for something like this? And what's the one thing you wish you knew before buying your last used car? Honest feedback appreciated. Thanks.
