We're investigating reports where No-Fill Parties may automatically disband after completing a Mission, requiring you to reinvite each other.

Temporary Workaround: One non-leader member should select “Ready to Return” on the post-Mission screen, then let the timers run out.

How it Works

Earn points by eliminating opponents for your personal progress and contribute to your team's standing by winning Rivalries in Fortnite Battle Royale.

  • Registration: Sign up on the website to receive your first reward and badge.
  • Team Selection: Vote for which Baller League team you’re backing to unlock a voting reward.
  • Personal Progression: Collect Badges through eliminations (2 Eliminations = 1 Badge).
  • Team Contribution: Contribute Rivalry Wins to climb the Global and Fan Leaderboards.

Note that in-game stats refresh daily: please allow 24 hours post-match for progress to appear on the website.

  • Select a team: Baller League themed Banner 1
  • Contribute 1 Rivalry Win: Baller League themed Banner 2
  • Earn 6 Badges (12 Elims): Baller League Spray

The Shatter Spawn Arrives - Mythic Weapon Drops Incoming!

Once you take down Shatter Spawn, Kai will be healed, regain his fire powers, join your side as a recruitable NPC, and raise your global villager cap by 5.

The Shatter Spawn will be making multiple appearances, each time dropping a unique mythic weapon. Mark your calendars:

4/30–5/4: Take it down for a chance to claim the Sword of FIRE.

5/9–5/11: Defeat it for a chance to earn the Scythe of QUAKES.

5/16–5/18: Conquer it for a chance to wield the Shurikens of ICE.

5/23–5/25: Bring it down for a chance to seize the Nunchucks of LIGHTNING.

Be ready when the dragon shows up, as these weapons won't stick around forever!

Upon defeating the Shatter Spawn, you’ll be able to show off your accomplishments with the new Dragon Statue Trophy. Collect it and display your victory!

New Threats Are Approaching

Prepare yourselves! Three new enemies are entering the battlefield: the Oni Stonebreaker, Oni Bladestalker, and Oni Bone Digger. Stay sharp out there!

Summon NINJAGO Masters in a Brand New Arena

A new arena has arrived, and with it comes the ability to summon NINJAGO characters. Jump in and put them to the test!

HUD Changes

  • Your health bar will now be hidden at full health so you can see more of the world
  • Chat and Map icons were removed from the HUD but remain functional through their respective inputs
  • The Journal tracking widget can now be opened and closed manually
  • Journals and notifications have moved to the right side, now grouped together with the tracking widget
  • We've updated vehicle controls! Exiting a vehicle now requires holding the button rather than a single press

✅ Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the player would get softlocked behind the bench, leading to Monastery 
  • A follower's health now drains as usual when in a fight 
  • The Glider is working as intended after using the Battle Bus 
  • The Ice Dragon Survival Expert quest appears correctly under the Quest tab
  • All weapons now appear correctly when placed on a Wall Mount and display the correct color
  • Mitigated an issue where the players would get stuck running, walking, or vaulting when inside Imperial Outpost 
  • Boom Barrel variants now have correct recipes 
  • Loot Llamas caught from fishing now drop any loot 
  • Fixed an issue preventing players from toggling fast swimming 
  • Fixed an issue causing Shurikens to sometimes miss at close range
  • Oni Tyrant spawns enemies accordingly during one of its attacks 
  • Double-jumps after using a launch pad are now possible
  • Oni Elder beams will now damage and destroy structures they hit, rather than pass through them 
  • Hearty Totems now provide a shield buff when equipped

🔄 The Map Rotation Is Back!

  • Map Rotation now includes Elite Stronghold, Venture, and Slurp Rush
  • For competitors, please note that Elite Stronghold will be the featured map for the Reload Elite Series

Elite Stronghold Updates

  • Elite Armory has a new look, with more trees added to provide extra cover and reduce long-range sightlines
  • We've simplified the interior layout of Hostile Hold to make it easier to navigate
  • We've reduced open sight lines in three areas, near Hostile Hold, the large IO drill, and the snow-based outpost by Elite Experiments, to give players more opportunities to seek cover

Brawl of the Wild Questline

The “Brawl of the Wild” Questline is back, giving you another chance to head into the wilds and help Homebase adapt to the Wildlife roaming the world. Along the way, you’ll earn Gold and Spring Tickets, and by completing the full Questline you’ll unlock Gia - an Outlander Hero who thrives alongside tamed Wildlife, forming a bond that lets them support each other in battle.

Standard Perk: Vital Bond

Heroes heal their tamed Wildlife for 15% of damage dealt.

Commander Perk: Vital Bond+ 

Heroes heal their tamed Wildlife for 15% of damage dealt. Tamed Wildlife heal the player for 30% of damage dealt.

Note: The ”Wolf Snack” Quest to feed Wildlife has been auto-completed. You’ll receive its rewards after completing the Questline.

✅ Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Objectives in Fight the Storm, Deliver the Bomb, Repair the Shelter, Ride the Lightning, and Refuel the Homebase Missions now emit light beams, making them easier to spot from a distance
  • The exclamation mark on the Quest Board in Homebase now remains lit until you’ve completed the Campaign, letting you know there are Quests available to keep progressing
  • Your support crew will now greet you with voicelines as you walk around Homebase and interact with them
  • Constructors’ B.A.S.E. now appears correctly in the Trap Wheel when multiple Traps are in your inventory
  • Fixed an issue where enabling Fill would sometimes not open your Mission up for other players to join
  • Fixed an issue where Storm Shield Defense Assist sessions could matchmake players into a different Mission type
  • Fixed an issue preventing some players from starting Storm Shield Defense 4 after placing an Amplifier
  • Resolved a “Cannot claim rewards" error some players were seeing
  • Endurance progress now displays accurately on the zone map
  • HUD and UI elements now scale correctly in Homebase when custom HUD scale is used
  • The Team Score screen at the end of a Mission can now be closed correctly when using a controller
  • Your Defenders will now follow you more reliably across uneven terrain and get stuck less often
  • Enemies eliminated by Defenders now count toward the Eliminate and Collect Mission objective
  • Removed outdated Power Level and F.O.R.T. stat increase text when a player joins your session
  • Fixed an issue where party members entering a Mission could incorrectly trigger the "left the party" audio
  • The “Allow Cross Platform Party” setting will no longer be incorrectly enabled after attempting to join a player on a different platform if it was previously disabled
  • Removed a Homebase placeholder from the Social sidebar
  • Homebase characters now have proper collision when you move into them
  • Text Chat keybind is now available in the Hero Loadout menu when using a keyboard
  • Adjusted fog intensity in Stonewood when using Performance Mode

  • Rifts in OG Build now more closely match their Chapter 1 design and close after 10 seconds. Zero Build-specific Rifts have been removed from Build
  • Fixed an issue where Quadcrashers only damaged structures at certain speeds instead of any time while boosting
  • You can now rotate Pirate Cannons while airborne
  • Adjusted Pirate Cannon knockback and player damage to match Chapter 1 values

  • Season 7 stats now appear in the Career tab filter

Time to lock in - v40.30 brings new Rivalry Ranks, more controls for Custom match hosts, and a batch of fixes and improvements. Read on for the full rundown:

⚔️ Keep Building Your Rivalry Streak and Unlock New Rewards

In today’s game update, new rewards have become available. You’ll be able to keep your existing Rivalry win count while chasing new Rivalry status alongside it:

🟣 Rivalry Master: Win 150 Rivalries
🔵 Rivalry Grandmaster: Win 500 Rivalries
🔴 Rivalry GOAT: Win 1,000 Rivalries

Keep stacking those Rivalry W’s! New mastery umbrella styles are coming in v40.40 to unlock after you hit Rivalry Master. 

⚙️ New Admin Panel Tool for Your Custom Lobbies

We’ve implemented several new Custom Matchmaking features to give Custom lobby hosts more control over their Battle Royale sessions.

With today’s update, Custom lobby hosts can access a new Admin Panel in non-competitive BR modes (including Zero Build) - only available to the player who starts the match. While in a match, open the Sidebar > Menu > Admin Panel to adjust the following:

  • Enable God Mode and become invulnerable as the admin/host
  • Set the Health and Shield values for everyone
  • Change the Time of Day and the speed at which it progresses (can be 0)
  • Pause and unpause the Storm
  • Change the Storm radius and how long it takes for the first circle to close in
  • Send troublemakers back to the Lobby

✅ Bug Fixes & Improvements

This update includes numerous bug fixes across Fortnite. Here are a few notable ones we’ve seen reported by the community that we’ve fixed up: 

General

  • Battle Pass rewards can now be claimed on the post-match screen after consecutive matches
  • Arcane Jinx’s braids are now the correct length
  • The 'Shade' Style of Ascendant Midas' Golden King's Cape no longer appears with missing textures
  • Back to the Future Time Machine engine and gear shift audio now play as expected
  • Nyanja’s eyes no longer appear overly bright
  • Navigation on the Passes tab now works correctly after exiting Bonus Rewards
  • Fixed a visual issue with the Lightyear Wings Back Bling not appearing correctly on all Outfits
  • Removed a visible seam on Lady Windfrost's left ear (pointed ear enjoyers stay winning)
  • Selecting the Battle Royale and Reload Ranked tiles on the Compete tab no longer redirects you to Unranked 
  • The Tournament Eligibility Check window now displays the required Rank more clearly when the requirement is not met
  • Fixed additional clipping, jittering and texture issues affecting Outfits and Kicks, such as:
    • Lover Girl Laufey’s hair clipping into her shoulder
    • Snoop Dogg’s undershirt clipping through his jacket
    • Jagged edges on the Nike Shox TL 'Red Strobe' Kicks

 

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue causing certain Car Bodies to appear or behave incorrectly. Previously disabled Car Bodies have been re-enabled
  • Back to the Future Time Machine engine and gear shift audio now play as expected
  • Port-A-Bunkers no longer spawn under the ground 🎉
  • You can aim, shoot and use consumable items at the bottom of an Ascender at New Sanctuary again
  • Fixed an issue where picking up a downed player mid-roll could sometimes teleport them under the terrain to a horrible, horrible end

PC

  • Improved memory efficiency, which may help increase stability
  • Fixed an issue where the mouse cursor could move to another monitor during gameplay after Alt-Tabbing in Fullscreen Mode
  • The Fortnite client window no longer incorrectly moves to the center of the screen when loading into Battle Royale matches

Mobile

  • Interacting with NPCs and purchasing from Vending Machines now takes fewer steps
    • Next time you interact with an NPC or a Vending Machine, take a look and let us know how it feels!
  • Turbo Building no longer stops when already holding another “Place” button
  • Aim Assist now applies correctly when Auto Fire is disabled, including certain weapons like Pump Shotguns 
  • Players on iOS are no longer incorrectly muted upon entering or returning to the game
