I printed on white acrylic yesterday, using AP3155 ashesion promoter to make sure the UV ink sticks, like I always do. The customer complained that the acrylic lost it's shine, and wasn't happy. I know it's the promoter, but without it, the ink falls off within a day. Is there a brand of acrylic that already has the promoter on it? Or is there a way to wipe off the excess without compromising the ink. I print on a Vanguard VK300D flatbed printer, if that makes a different.
I tried 99% isopropyl alcohol right after printing the image and it was better, but not good enough. I also tried reapplying the promoter thickly and using the alcohol to clean it off and it didn't help.
What did you try that worked?
