I made a review on the Galaxy Buds4 Pro (video version found here) and thought to post my experience here to Reddit. Hopefully it will help with anyone who's thinking about getting them or wants to compare experiences.

Pros:

• Out of the box, great sound fidelity. I'm happy with the EQ option as well
  • My music genres: EDM, dreamy alternative/house, lofi-hip hop, random alternative pop
• Favorite ANC on an earbud!
• Great transparency mode. I tend to forget I have them in my ears and sometimes with no audio playing. Not quite as good as the Pixel Buds Pro 2, but right up there.
• Stem design is great, functional, looks nice

Meh:

• While the outer case is flashy, I'm always worried about scratches. Also a fingerprint magnet.
• Ear fatigue around the 4 hour mark of using them
• Sometimes the earbuds doesn't place properly into the case, just barely off the charging pins. I become aware when I play audio on my phone and realize the phone is still connected to the earbuds.

Cons:

• Lacks Multipoint, and I do not agree with the direction for Autoswitching exclusive to Samsung devices
• Some exclusive features that don't need to be reinvented to be Samsung exclusives - SSC vs LDAC; Gaming Mode could have used Bluetooth LE so non-Samsung phones could tap into this; Spatial Audio
• Microphones are pretty underwhelming, especially for being a Pro model earbud. Mic test in my video.

Final Thoughts

If you have a Samsung phone and deciding between headphones, I would put this as the top choice. However, if you want to use the earbuds with multiple devices, Multipoint doesn't exist. On those non-Samsung devices, you'd need to initiate bluetooth connectivity when moving between devices. If you're not in the Samsung ecosystem already, I'd say take a look at the Pixel Buds Pro 2 for a bit more of a universal experience designed for all Android phones. If you're on a budget, look for a deal on some OnePlus Buds Pro 3, as they can go on sale for just around $100 on Amazon.

Also, look for sales if you're interested in the Galaxy Buds4 Pro. I got it off TikTok Shop for $157 shipped, directly from the Samsung TikTok Store. I made sure to verify they were legitimate, shipped from their address, and everything checked out.

Hello all! I wanted to post a follow up trip to my last trip. Here's that original trip & review.

Just a quick recap, I've been planning a June road trip from Los Angeles to Denver, while building my Tesla camping configuration to my liking. This is based on campsite stays, National Parks, and skydiving dropzone visits. So in between now and then, I've been testing my setup by doing little local weekend trips. I'm also pretty beginner to camping in general, but using the Tesla has encouraged me to explore much further. One additional important factor for me is I want to be able to stop at a rest stop if needed and be able to sleep in the back without leaving any items outside the Tesla. So this made it more of a challenge of Tetris and finding compact items to get things to fit.

Anyway, I went on a short weekend trip to Silverwood - Old Mesa Campground in California. I took my doggo with me (Yuna) and slept comfortably in the Tesla with my Havnby CloudCore mattress. I'll list out the new gear used, omitting gear from the last post.

New:

• Car Fridge - Alpicool C20
• Sunroof Shade
• Car Mattress Cover
• Screen net for Telsa Model Y trunk (to leave the trunk open)
• Portable Shower
• Privacy Tent
• 2x Water containers - general purpose + drinking
• Coleman Screenshade
• NatureHike Collapsible Container
• NatureHike Collapsible Chair
• Ozark Trail Collapsible Camping Table
• (General camping stuff - messkit, stove, propane, etc.)

The Good:

Mostly everything here went according to plan, thankfully! The Alpicool C20 fridge worked fantastically. This was where I was most worried because of what happened with the TeslaFridge that I had. I'm not surprised to find other posts on Reddit of them failing from start or within a few months. My research found that Alpicool has been around for a while, so I had more hope going with them. I put this fridge behind the passenger seat. It does fit in the sub-trunk, but I felt I could utilize that space more efficiently, which I did!

The sub-trunk had the NatureHike collapsible container with a bunch of the general camping stuff and portable shower inside it. Then sitting on top of that were additional things like the privacy tent, sunroof shade, and my legendary pee bottle lol. Behind the drivers seat, I had the chair, table, and a few other things. In the front passenger seat were the 2 water containers on the floor, then my main bag and camera bag up front. I'll be able to put my skydiving container up there as well.

Then the frunk had the dry pantry food items and couple extra camping things. This stuff will likely move to inside the cabin if I have to carry out any trash from some of the BLM sites I'm visiting.

The mattress cover was probably the best budget item of the trip. It was only $18 and works easily for the Havnby mattress, and really any car mattress. The portable shower and privacy tent worked out for what it was. I'm glad I went with an electronic portable shower that drops into one of the water containers. It removed the requirement to have a pole-setup privacy tent, the kind that adds stability for those portable shower bags that hang. It wasn't a fancy shower, and I recommend getting sun on the water container to warm up the water (or keep the container in the car to at least get a regular temperature). But besides that, was nice being able to take a shower after being sweaty from the trail hike and camping.

 

The Bad:

The only real failure here was the screen net for the Tesla Model Y, and this is really only due to incorrect information presented on the Amazon page. This product didn't match how much Tesla had on the interior, particularly around the seat belt areas. So I'll return that and see if there's anything else.

For the Coleman 8x8 screenhouse, it didn't have an issue, but I would prefer something that pops up more easily. However, since I'm trying to contain my setup without having to remove anything from my car, many of these instant pop up screenhouses pack down into pretty big bags. I don't see myself being able to switch to one unless I leave it on my mattress while sleeping, which is not a preference. The Coleman packs much smaller, more than half the size of the 10x10 instant popup screenhouse.

Hoping to get some neat footage at all these sites, which will also be a few Reddit posts/reviews & YouTube videos in the future :)
