Product Recommendation: Monochrome 'tablet' (with conditions)

Hello

I'm an editor and script doctor. I currently use a Samsung tablet to mark up PDF documents in Xodo. I have a Kindle Paperwhite for fun reading. I'm thinking of switching to an eInk device to combine both of these activities.

I do not want/need anything 'powerful'.

I do not want an Amazon device.

I do not make 'notes' in a traditional sense, but mark up documents by underlining, strikethrough and margin scribbling with a stylus. I don't really care about scribble to text recognition as this Kent part of my workflow.

I would like to be able to sync files to a cloud.

I think, then, having looked at ewritable.net that tehe Boox Go with front light might be best, but wonder if anyone has recommendations, or indeed a user review for a similar use case?

Appreciate any help in advance.

I've never quite got to grips with my hair.

I have thick, straight hair, but I feel as though the individual strands are thin. I guess the DPI of my scalp is high?

I occasionally dabble in products - low, mid and high end - but honestly have no idea what I'm doing, so what usually happens is I revert to whatever sounds about right, and smells good, but I often end up disappointed and the spiral towards a buzz cut begins.

My main concern is that without conditioning my hair gets dry but WITH it my hair gets "slippy"; so much so that it's hard to tie up for a few days. Left down in that state, its a wispy and gets caught in the wind too easily, resulting in frustration. It takes two or three days to get back to nice, normal, but then it's not long before we start to descend into greasiness...

Any help (I couldn't find a wiki) greatly received. I'm sorry if I've not given enough info: I'm happy to share more but don't know what I don't know.
