28M from the UK looking for genuine friends

Lately I’ve realised that even when life is going well, it can still feel pretty lonely if you don’t have people around you that you genuinely connect with. Work’s been good recently, promotion, pay rise, all of that, but I caught myself wishing I had close friends to actually share life with instead of just going through the motions alone.

I’m 28, UK based, pretty laid-back and easy to talk to. Most people would probably describe me as having golden retriever energy. I’m into fitness and I’m usually at the gym before work every weekday because it helps keep me grounded mentally as much as physically.

Outside of that, I’m a massive nerd in the best way possible. Gaming is a huge hobby for me, especially story-heavy games with deep worlds and characters. Halo, Mass Effect, Baldur’s Gate 3, Elden Ring, Crusader Kings, that kind of thing. I’ve recently started Kingdom Come: Deliverance and I spend most of my time getting destroyed by people with sticks.

I’m also really into Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Warhammer 40k, and collecting helmets and random nerd memorabilia that definitely takes up too much shelf space.

On a more real note, I’ve dealt with depression a couple of times in my life, and I think it made me value genuine connection a lot more. I know how important it is to have people who actually check in, listen, and stick around, so I try to be that kind of friend too.

I’m mainly just looking for people to talk to consistently. Gaming friends, voice chats, random conversations during the day, deep talks at 1am, sharing memes, talking about life, all of it. If we click, I’d love to build an actual long-term friendship.

If you’re kind, easygoing, a bit nerdy, or just looking for someone genuine to talk to, feel free to message me.

[28/M] UK Looking for real mates

Recently had one of those moments where you realise life’s going well on paper, but you don’t really have people around to share it with. Work’s been good, promotion, pay rise, things moving forward, and it made me realise I want actual friendships in my life again instead of just keeping to myself.

I’m 28, based in the UK. Big build, laid-back personality, usually running on positive/golden retriever energy. I’m in the gym every weekday morning before work, partly for discipline, partly because it keeps my head straight.

Outside of that, I spend a lot of time gaming, getting lost in lore rabbit holes, or ending up in those random late-night conversations that somehow turn philosophical.

I’ve come through depression twice, which honestly changed how I look at people and friendships. I don’t take good days for granted anymore, and I try to be the kind of person who genuinely shows up for others.

Gaming-wise, I grew up on Halo: CE through Reach. Massive fan of Mass Effect, Crusader Kings III, Elden Ring, and Baldur’s Gate 3. Recently started Kingdom Come: Deliverance and I’m getting absolutely humbled by medieval peasants on a regular basis.

Big LOTR fan too. I collect Halo and Star Wars helmets, and I’m currently building a Necron army for Warhammer 40k.

Mainly looking for solid people in the UK to actually build a friendship with, people to talk to regularly, game with, maybe hit the gym, go for hikes, or just share life with a bit. If you’re easygoing, enjoy nerdy depth, and can hold a real conversation, we’ll probably get along well.

Had a bit of a reality check recently. Work’s going well, promotion and pay rise, everything moving in the right direction… just didn’t have anyone to share it with. Figured it’s time to change that.

I’m 28, UK based. Big build, easygoing energy. I’m in the gym every weekday morning before work, keeps me disciplined and clears my head. Outside of that I spend a lot of time gaming, getting lost in lore, or having those random conversations that go way deeper than expected.

I’ve come through depression twice, so I don’t take the good days for granted. I’m the kind of person who sticks around and actually shows up.

Gaming wise I grew up on Halo: Combat Evolved through Halo: Reach. Big fan of Mass Effect, Crusader Kings III, Elden Ring and Baldur’s Gate 3. Recently started Kingdom Come: Deliverance so I’m currently getting humbled on a regular basis. Anything with depth, choices, and a bit of challenge is my thing.

Also into Lord of the Rings, collecting Halo and Star Wars helmets, and I’m building a Necron army from Warhammer 40,000.

Looking for solid people in the UK to actually talk to, game with, maybe hit the gym or get out for a hike if we get on. If you’re easy to talk to and don’t mind a bit of nerdy depth, we’ll get along.
