Still relatively new to deck building and I know this won’t be a straightforward answer but I’m curious to hear your guys’ opinions.
When building a deck. I find the theme of the deck and try to build around that, whether it’s a direct plan from my commander or an overall theme.
What I struggle with is picking cards that work towards my gameplan vs ramp/draw/interaction etc.
The top picks are cards that work towards both.
For instance, I’m building [[Tifa, martial artist]] with a plan to cheat out big stompers with [[Sneak attack]] like effects. I threw some cards together from my collection but it seems I’m just twiddling my thumbs hoping to enact my game plan, that fails to play out. I’m obviously lacking ramp and card advantage so I plan to work that out.
What is your mindset going into brewing and finding the balance between gameplan, mana-curve, draw, ramp and interaction.
