I don’t think I notice any progress and am now feeling deflated :/

For 5 months, I’ve been going to the gym twice a week doing a beginner full body routine without missing a single week. I decided to see if I could notice any visible changes, but became disappointed when I put the photos side-by-side 😕.

Am I missing something?

A Couple Beginner Questions!

Hi! 🤙🏻

I’m new to jump roping and loving it so far, but I’m experiencing some pains that are prompting few questions.

The first pain I notice is, during basic jumps, the top left side of my neck, at the base of my skull, starts to hurt. It honestly comes and goes as I’m jumping, but if I keep going, it almost feels like it *could* become a headache.

The second pain is in my right leg when trying to do the boxer step. I’ll go to land on my right leg and it will cause a pain along my tibia on the outer side.

The last pain I’m feeling is now all the sudden in my left leg. This wasn’t a thing for like the first week of jumping, but now, along the inner side of my lower leg, I feel a pain that almost wraps around from the back to the front. I will go to try and jump, even when I no longer feel the pain, and it will come back right away, even with basic jumps.

I guess my last question would be that I see people mention that they walk backwards as an exercise for jumping rope. Why?

Thank you! 🙏
