I (33F) found something suspicious on my husband's (38M) phone and I'm not sure if I'm overreacting

Hi all, obligatory "never thought I'd be posting here" but here we are. My (33F) husband (38M) and I have been together for 10 years and married for 4 and I've never had any reason to doubt his faithfulness - we communicate very well, rarely argue and always seem to be on the same page for our future.

My husband travels for his work for a few days a month most of the year while I work from home. He was gone twice for a few days in the last month and got back last week. Everything seemed normal, we chatted daily, checked in with each other often, said goodnight before bed every night and I never felt like anything was amiss.

Well I went to send myself some photos he had taken of us and noticed he had deleted them, so I went to his trash to see if they were still there. What I saw instead were some pretty suggestive photos of himself in his underwear in the hotel room he was in, and it seemed like he had taken them on both of his last work trips. I was shocked because we are not the type to send each other sexy pictures and I definitely did not receive them!

I feel like you all are going to tell me I'm being very naive, but he hasn't acted protective with his phone and we know each passwords and before this I would have said I trusted him implicitly. I haven't brought it up to him yet but it's weighing on my mind quite heavily. What I'm wondering is if I should confront him now, or wait until he's back from his next work trip in a couple weeks to see if he takes another one? And does this seem as bad as it looks?

Tl;dr: husband has suggestive pictures on his phone after work trips that he did not send to me
