Regarding Municipal Registration
Im an international (non european) student whos planning to study in Milan for 3 years, and I was searching for housing on sites like spotahome.
I saw a lot of good options, but some of the options stated "municipal registrations not allowed" in their contractual permissions. I asked spotahome, and they said even though municipal registration is not allowed, previous international students didnt have any problem with getting their residence permit nor dealing with university/admin procedures using that property. I asked my uni about this and they said to avoid those options, and even said its not legal for landlords to impede on residency registration, so now I'm kinda conflicted.
Does anyone have experience with this? I found it weird how they can deny municipal registration since I thought its a required procedure for stuff like social security/insurance etc.
