I made many optional designs for the bee challenge event. The goal is to keep the design resembling to the bee, then I have to cut off some features of bee in the the 4th concept. At last, the only thing sticks with the bee theme is the head, the rest of the body seems to be humanoid, so I tried to make the amor look like insect-like exoskeleton appearance. The outcome is likely off the plan comparing to my first attempt. It turned me down when I was in the middle of render process, but I finally put it through and finished off the piece. So I learnt that I should not have done more in the concept progress before jumping right in rendering. I am happy with the whole progress, despite it upsets me so bad.
