[Complete] [12k] [Memoirs] Being a twin, travel through northern Canada & life in Japan — seeking beta readers
Looking for readers who enjoy literary nonfiction — personal essays in the vein of The Sun or Creative Nonfiction.
The collection follows one man from a conservative Christian childhood in Ontario through four years in Japan and into adulthood. Recurring themes: faith, loneliness, brotherhood, and the difficulty of being present for people who need you. Individual essays cover mirror twins, expat life in Kobe, a solo Yukon trip on September 11th 2001, and Japanese hot spring culture as spiritual substitute.
Not looking for line edits — just honest reactions. Which essays held you, where did you drift, does it feel like a collection etc
