Good afternoon!
I want to use a miniPC to make a game console for my kiddos. I have been doing a bunch of research and have gotten a little bogged down in the minutia. I may be asking really obvious questions, but I am challenging myself to understand all the components in order to know what I am buying accomplishes what I am trying to do. Given the much higher costs, I am trying to be as sure as I possibly can that what I am buying is capable of doing what I want it to do.
Goals:
- A device that emulates up to PS3
Devices Researched:
- Dell Optiplex with Intel Processors
- GMtec Devices
-Beelink Devices
Min Specs per RPCS3:
CPU
AMD Ryzen 5 5600/Intel Core I5-10400
GPU
AMD RX 5600 XT
NVIDIA RTX 2060
RAM
16GB
Questions
- I want my budget to be $600 or less. Is that too low?
- I am trying to figure out if Integrated Graphics is even an acceptable option.
- I plan on running Batocera so it is a plug and play for my kiddos.
Willing to buy a Optiplex if I can add a graphics card. Hoping for an all in one solution. Any feedback is appreciated. Happy to provide any clarity if I have not been specific enough.
Thank you!
