DFC respond back to cancelation contract.
I recently send DFC an email about cancelation contract. In the email, I included that I already reported this company to my local police, and if they don't give me the cancelation, I will file a complaint to Better Business Bureau and Attorney General. And they recently responded back to me today through email. Here what they said.
"Hello,
I was forwarded your account because of a message you left requesting to cancel your payments and you stating you are unhappy about the services. I would like to have a conversation to understand what has happened. Is the suspect still bothering you at this time? If so please report this per the instructions of Phase 2 as you have 5 months coverage.
I have attached both contracts to this email so you can review them if you need. I am more than happy to settle the account for a lesser amount given your frustrations but a refund would not be possible as it is past the refund time frame and the work was completed. You currently owe $3538.98 on your phase 1 report. I am happy to give a large credit to this as a lump sum payment discount so the account can be closed out. Because I work in first party collections I am able to settle this with no credit hit, no late fees, no legal fees or recourse and give a discount that will be larger than what you would get with a debt relief company.
If you want, I will settle the account for $2000. This is a discount of $1500. I would love to hear back from you to see what we can do to settle the account as we want the services to have been great for you. I see in Phase 2 we reported to Nigeria,. and AT&T.
I have called and left a VM as well to try and get a hold of you. Please contact me back when you have a chance so we can discuss your account."
Should I settle the account or keep fighting it?
Thank you.
