Can someone confirm if this is normal ?

Ever since I got my betta from the store he’s never been much of a swimmer. I’ve seen him swim through his Amazon swords a few times but he’s usually always resting in the corner on a leaf or he’s inside his log. 🪵 I’ve never owned a short fin betta, usually just long fins. They always seem to swim constantly. Can someone with experience help ease my mind?

Extra information :

He’s in a 10 gallon
No signs of ammonia
His temperature is always between 78-80.

I have aquaman in a 10 gal tank. When he was first put in he would swim and explore the first day but after the first and half of the second day he stopped swimming around and started to mainly sit at the top of the tank. Is this normal? His temp is at 80 degrees. These are the levels of his water

Free chlorine 0

Nitrate 10

Nitrite 0

Hardness 0

Total alkalinity 0

Ph 6.2

Sodium 0

Amonia still at 0.5

I will be doing a small 50% water change to see if the amonia goes away. Is my fish dying😞😞😞 ?!
