Oregon sand dunes information

I'm looking to take my first trip down to Oregon dunes...Il be coming with my 7 year old daughter for her birthday..

As we will be driving from Vancouver BC the closest and what seems to be pretty nice is Sand lake dunes in Cloverdale.Would this be a decent place for a first timer on the dunes..

I will be taking my Jeep xj with a roof top tent as we plan to camp..

My XJ has a 7" lift but I currently have chunky tires on it 33/12:50r15 they are very good in the mud but unsure if these would be suitable you can see from the pictures..

Any other information about where to go and best places to check out...I plan for mid June hoping the weather is decent

I noticed this morning that my coolant reservoir had dropped significantly....

I have been dealing with it getting slightly warm usually around 220 or little less ..

The only symptoms of heater core would be the smell of coolant when the heat is on...

There is no gunk or anything in the oil seems ok

What other steps should I take to confirm it would just to bypass the heater core be a good first step

I'm looking to take my wife and 2 daughters on a bit of a trip after they finish school. I was looking around this look in Powell river..Just wondering what's everyone's take on it. Is there plenty of camping spots I have a rooftop and a well prepared Overland jeep xj but I'm still not looking to take on anything serious just strictly to fsr and some light offroading

May be a silly question just wondering can you just camp on Stave lake flats I know they have a few actual camp sites there but I just bought a new rooftop tent I'm keen I try out...
