Have we reached a place in this country where there is no hope?

A constantly rising right wing. Trans right revoked. Government doesn’t care about protests/minorities. Rise in homophobia through social media. Gay rights might get attacked next. How do you deal with this?

Queer life in India - long term security?

I’ve noticed a lot of posts here are about outfits, selfies, glow-ups, asking “how do I look?”, etc. And I genuinely understand why — for many queer people, being able to express themselves openly and receive acceptance is something they may not get enough of in real life.

But I sometimes wonder about the bigger-picture side too. Does anyone else worry about long-term safety and stability for LGBTQ people in India? Things like political changes, social backlash, or even the fear of rights going backwards someday.

Do you think about leaving India while it’s still relatively possible to build a life elsewhere, or do you feel hopeful about staying and building a future here?

Not asking this to dismiss the lighter/self-expression posts at all — I’m more curious how people here balance personal expression with concerns about the future.
