I really liked the characters, the story, the voice acting and the game as a whole. I enjoyed the banter, the bonding and the gameplay was quite a refreshing difference from usual for me (RPG mostly)

I started as a vengeful son and ex hero who slowly opened up to the crew of misfits, bonded with them and in the end proved Shroud wrong by sparing him.

I managed to keep Visi from becoming an anti hero/villain by wanting to believe in her, even if I didn't romance her.

Yeah, my romance was Blonde Blazer.

The game was quite fun and I'll probably replay it sometime soon just cause I love the cast and the isn't gonna take me too long to beat.

Plus, I feel like 100% the game isn't gonna be such a pain like in so many other games.

Overall it was a solid 8/10 game for me and it's between I really like it and I love it.

If you wanna ask of any choice I made, feel free to do it. But here are some of the major ones:

I cut Sonar, not Coupe I chose Waterboy, not Phenomaman I chose date with Mandy I didn't cut Invisigal and also forgave her

I'm currently playing the pixels remaster version of the game and just reached the opera section.

So far the only sounds I've heard were music, sound effects (combat and not) and Kefka's disturbing laugh.

So I was surprised and not sure what I heard when the opera singer was starting singing. Like that's not a grunt or effect, that's legit voice acting.

I didn't expect that at all. I loved it how the game completely caught me off guard. I expected some epic score or memorable scenes, but this? This takes the cake for how to make the scene amazing.

I just finished a bit earlier today the game and I gotta say I 100% understand why it's so beloved. It's a rollercoaster of emotions and an amazing journey... expedition to have.

The characters, the music, the story, the gameplay, all so artistically made. The characters deep and their personalities distinct and all emotional, main characters and not.

The soundtrack, is the second time I encounter one whole album where I feel the majority if not all pieces are amazing and I already downloaded many to hear on my free time.

>!The story is so well executed and told. The characters who know what's going on from the get go talk as if they already do, giving us glimpses of information not giving us actual information. The game managed to make the twists (and I mean both) work so fricking well. I love Gustave and I was devastated when and how he died.!<

>!But somehow the twist of killing the what seems main character was topped by the end of Act II. I suspected some stuff, but not what it was. I was surprised and completely caught off guard. Having the game set in a painting originally made by the real Verso and then was hijacked by Aline and her grief.!<

>!Having us first kill her and then give us the truth was such a smart move. And having the real Renoir being the final boss (but not final challenge) was brilliant. He wasn't a villain, but a man who loves his family and can't see it be torn apart because and after losing his son.!<

As for the gameplay, having the counter, dodge, jump and gradient moves, made the game feel the game more than just a stat check and required a level of skill and precision (>!until I got Painted Power that is lol, after it I was the boss encounter!<).

The game is a masterpiece and really beyond imagination of what should be normally possible for an indie company (especially one that it's their first game), but the fact they delivered a product of that magnitude speaks volumes.

For me it's a 10/10 game (fourth game ever to earn that rate) and sits now 4th in my top 10 of all time (edging out The Last of Us part 1).

ps. It's also the first game on my Steam to 100% the achievements, though not the game since I tried but didn't burn myself to do the Endless Tower Anniversary superbosses. Did the Osquio boss though and I loved the whole Verso's draft domain.
