Just hit the CeX jackpot! Got an Apple Watch SE 3 graded 'B' but it's flawless with 100% battery!

Hey everyone, I just had to share this because I'm super hyped.

I bought my very first Apple Watch, an SE 3 44mm GPS, from CeX for 200 euros. It was sold as a Grade B, but honestly, it is completely flawless. Not a single scratch, and the battery health is sitting perfectly at 100%!

Buying it brand new would have cost me 310 euros, so the savings are absolutely huge for a watch that feels like it came straight out of the box. Coming from a Mi Band, the difference is night and day. The Apple Watch is unbelievably comfortable on the wrist, but the absolute best part is how much it has already reduced my screen time. I barely pick up my phone now because I can just check notifications and manage everything right from my wrist.

Anyone else had this kind of luck with second-hand deals? I wonder what would make someone sell something so new

Cracking the CeX "Bulk Sale" Algorithm: My experience, theories, and questions on how to bypass it

Hey everyone,

I’ve been doing some flipping recently (buying online and trading into CeX) and inevitably hit the dreaded "Bulk Sale" flag. However, during the process, I noticed some interesting patterns and even got a peek behind the curtain. I’ve formulated a few theories on how their system works and wanted to share them here to see if anyone can confirm, debunk, or share ways to bypass it.

The Context & The "Trigger": Over a short period, I made about 6 trade-ins spread across a few different stores. However, in one specific store ("Store A"), I made exactly 3 trade-ins. My first sale at this store was on 18/04 (April 18th). On my 3rd visit shortly after, the Bulk Sale flag was triggered.

Here is the interesting part: My dad also decided to sell some games from his collection at "Store A". He actually went on the exact same days as I did, but he brought a much smaller volume—only about 5 or 6 items each time. Despite the low volume, on his 3rd visit, he also got flagged for a Bulk Sale.

The Revelation (HQ Review): When my flag triggered, the staff told me they had to email the UK Central Pricing Team for approval. The staff member actually showed me the reply from HQ. The email explicitly stated that because my trade-in consisted of completely different titles (no duplicate copies of the same game), they were NOT going to apply the bulk discount. They approved the trade-in at full regular price.

My Hypotheses:

The Trigger is Time and Frequency-Related, Not Volume-Related: Since my dad got flagged on the exact same day for his 3rd visit despite only bringing 5/6 items, the algorithm seems to care more about how often you visit within a specific timeframe rather than how many items you bring.

The Trigger is Store-Specific, Not National: Since we both got flagged exactly on our 3rd visit to the same store (despite my overall account having more sales in other cities), I suspect the automated flag is tied to frequency per individual store within a certain timeframe (e.g., 3 visits in 30 days per store, considering my timeline started on 18/04). Also, I noticed once that a store in another city couldn't access my vouchers from a different store, making me think franchise systems might be somewhat isolated.

Unique Titles = Immunity from Price Cuts: The automated system is blind and just looks at frequency, but the human review at HQ actually looks at the invoice. If you aren't dumping 5 sealed copies of FIFA, HQ will waive the bulk penalty.

My Next Test: My plan is to visit a store in a completely different city where I haven't been recently. If the flag doesn't trigger, it proves the automated block is store-specific. If it does trigger, it proves the counter is national/account-wide, but I’ll test if HQ still approves it at full price because I’m only bringing single copies.

My Questions for you guys:

Is the bulk flag purely time/frequency-related? If I just space out my visits (e.g., waiting a few weeks/months between trade-ins), will that help avoid the flag entirely?

Has anyone else tested the waters with this? Is the 3-visit trigger per store accurate, or is it definitely account-wide?

Does anyone have any reliable tips or workarounds to bypass the automated flag entirely, aside from just spreading out visits across different cities?
