I moved to Japan last November and got a black DS lite to replace my childhood one which was pretty damaged and being held together by tape. But I had a holy grail that I wanted to get someday: the Japan exclusive yellow DSi LL. Today I finally came across one in a Book-Off in perfect condition for only ¥11,000! I never had a DSi nor an XL so I’m super surprised at how big the screens are but I’m very happy I finally got my hands on one! Going to christen it with the postgame of explorers of sky and Diabolical Box!

I beat Metroid: Samus Returns last weekend after spending a few weeks playing it on my New 3DS. It was my third 2D Metroid after Dread and Zero Mission and it was pretty good! A bit weaker than Dread since it was Mercury Steam's first Metroid game but the bosses were really good! So I decided to do some fanart of the game. I've played 3 Metroid games in the past year now though so I think I need to take a bit of a break from the series. I love it, but it stresses me out lol. It did make the rubber grip on my 3DS' circle pad come off after 10 years through sadly...

So I loved the explorers games as a kid but never beat them. This week I've gone back to Explorers of Sky and have just gone through it in the last couple of days and I've been really enjoying it. But I've hit the road block that is Primal Dialga and the dungeon before him. It just seems like you need to have good RNG and spam items to beat him which just feels so cheap and unfair to me. There's no skill at all, just farm and hoard items from earlier in the game and cheese the fight. I don't really want to do that. So I want to beat Dialga myself without going back to Treasure Town using only items found in the dungeon and my own Pokemon. I have Turtwig as my player character and Meowth as my partner currently at level 36 each. So I plan on just playing for a bit every evening until I eventually am able to beat him. So does anybody have any further tips beyond just going back and getting a bunch of reviver seeds? And what level should I aim for?
