I'm already a Vodafone internet customer in Germany and would like to upgrade my current plan to include an iPhone 17 Pro Max. I have an important question about the process:

If I purchase the device on a 24-month installment plan, is it possible to upgrade to the latest model after exactly 12 months?

Specifically, I'd like to know: Can I trade in my one-year-old iPhone to Vodafone, use the trade-in value to pay off the remaining 12 monthly installments of my old contract in one go, and simultaneously start a new contract for the new iPhone model?
