Hey everyone,

I am going to China for a few weeks beginning next year traveling and want to learn just enough Chinese to handle the most basic situations (restaurants, greetings, ordering food, asking for prices....).

Anki has worked wonders for me always so was wondering if i could do the same for this as well.

I tried a few Anki decks (especially Travel phrase deck), but they didnt really work for me. Most of them either show only Hanzi which I cannt read and will def not learn, or simply go too deep in situational stuff. Perhaps the HSK 1 might be the answer but would like to confirm if that would be the best way to go about it.

What I would be looking for is very simple list of words (maybe some full phrases) with Pinyin and Audio included.
Audio mainly because the tones seem very hard to just read so rather hearing i believe would eb easier to replicate.

What i would need i think is just numbers, some verbs, greetings... saying "this one", "That one" etc..

Basically I want something I can use to actually speak just a little bit and recognize basic words while traveling, not a full study deck that can get things moving without the need to whip out the phone non stop. (also think would be kind of fun to try)

Does anyone know a good Anki deck like this, or a better way to structure one (audio is what keeps me from making my own and am afraid of using TTS on my own as i dont know what its supposed to sound)?
However any tips how to go about it are welcome! :)

Apologies if this is a common request but from what i saw the general vibe is for serious learners here and did not find something that would work for me yet!

Thanks and good luck learning! :)
