Just got an email about it and I'm gonna be honest. I'm not sure I completely understand what the proposals mean but a couple caught my eye
Proposal 6: Report on Workplace Health and Safety Governance - to show how they have improved safety since 2020
proposal 7: Report on Immigration Policy and Enforcement - provide a publicly available report to describe how the new immigration policies have impacted walmart
proposal 8: Report on Workplace Impact of AI and Automation - prepare a report on the principles by which the Company seeks to address and measure the social implications on its workforce of the growing adoption of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation. More specifically, these 2 sentences in the proposal "Most notably, in October 2025, Walmart implemented a new algorithmic, performance-based system to determine annual pay increases for hourly employees, replacing its traditional tenure-based approach.8 This shift represents a fundamental change in compensation for a substantial portion of the workforce and illustrates the growing role of algorithmic systems in employment outcomes" I don't like the way that sounds and it kinda ticks me off.
All of these Walmart recommends voting Against which probably means they really need to be voted For. If someone smarter than me understands the proposals better and disagrees, I am definitely willing to hear you out on how these are a bad idea.
