Porsha recently gave an interview with Carlos King. It was a really great interview and disclosed a lot of different unknown things.

One interesting point relates to Shamea and Porsha. They were actually starting to get along over the season but apparently Shamea did something really horrible out of the blue towards the end of the season. They are no longer friends and never will be. Porsha doesn’t even feel comfortable speaking about Shamea in interviews.

I was looking around and apparently there may have been some kind of physical altercation on the last cast trip this season.

Has anyone seen or heard about details from Kandi’s new live show regarding her divorce? I’ve seen some details online but wasn’t sure if what I read was true…

Listened to the Carlos King podcast last night. Here are the highlights (as well as some of my thought).

1. Cynthia is the people’s champ. She is holding everyone down and should maybe get a peach again.

2. Phaedra is bringing nothing and is overpaid. (I don’t agree with this and still enjoy Phaedra).

3. Pinky is annoying and is doing too much. They recognized that she MAY get better in the next few episodes. She is picking too many fights and is exhausting.

4. Pinky is trying to hard to monetize her experience on RHOA as compared to Kandi who had experiences come to her organically. They suggested that she came up with that whole Wife in the Basement book after last week’s episode.

5. Kelli and Shamea are being annoying. (I agree. I was particularly annoyed on Sunday with the room and the restaurant. This is like the second or third time that Shamea graphically described her bodily functions - I don’t need to regularly hear that, even though some women like to do it - just my own pet peeve. Shamea’s mom also appears, at least to me, to be contributing to issues with some women - first Porsha and now Drew).

6. Drew is better this season because Kelli, Shamea, and Pinky are doing too much.

7. They still really like Angela.

8. K. Michelle is being really quiet.

That‘s what jumped out at me. Feel free to add any other notes or your own thoughts!

This is my first season watching a season with Daisy. To be honest, I haven’t been impressed. I do know that there are a ton of Daisy stans.

If you like Daisy - how has she been this season (better or worse) than in past seasons? I’m curious if she is different this season than other seasons where people started liking her.

I don’t know anything about K Michelle - this is my first time seeing her.

Last month, she gave an interview saying that she was in love with R Kelly. I guess they did music together. She loved him but he didn’t love her in that way. Was this new information to people who know her better?

Also, I don’t know if K Michelle knew about Porsha’s experience with R Kelly until Kelli threw it out on the bus. I was trying to see if K Michelle was surprised by this.

During the reunion, Ashley said that she broke up with Josh but that he called her the next day to try to get back together. Ashley agreed to meet with him but only if it was on camera. He agreed to meet with her and she broke up with him again. Why would he even agree to it? Neither the producers nor Ashley were kind to him. I cringed when he was laughing during the video game or talking about Pittsburgh. It was crazy that he STILL continued to hang out with her even after it aired. Between what she said, her family said, and how she was portrayed on the show, I couldn’t do it!

Doing a re-watch of the reunion, it seems pretty clear that Jassi was recording phone calls and wasn’t being slick with it. I guess the recording message was popping up.

What’s the purpose of recording? Is it to remind yourself what was said so that you don’t make a mistake? Playing it for anyone else isn’t going to do much…you will burn bridges with everyone. I guess you could have it in your back pocket just in case, but that seems like a lot of work.

Do you think that they will film at Preakness this year or not? If they did it last year, do they try to avoid it again?

The table that they were at last year was $10,000 - $20,000. Did production just pay the cost?

I heard that Angel’s new YouTube show started. I watched a few minutes of it. She did a show based at her home and stores that she likes to go to. It is pretty clear from her video, at least to me, that she didn’t want to film in her home with all the cast. She set her large indoor table and described how many people it can sit. I get that people can be very particular about letting people in their space. I just don’t recall seeing it in a Housewife.

On the upside - she does look nice on camera on the episode.

Did she ever start moving into her new Potomac home?

Any update on them? I haven’t heard anything for awhile. Thankfully, they both seem to be avoiding social media while the case is ongoing.

There are so many things wrong with Shamea’s rum idea.

First, Cynthia was smart not to try and take on such a difficult project on her own. The Maloof’s, who are experienced business people, are taking the lead. They are the ones developing the tequila - and not some niche tequila with peaches infused that only a small number of people will regularly drink. It is regular tequila with a broad appeal. Cynthia is probably largely getting paid some kind of salary - and it’s worth it for both sides. Cynthia can get the publicity for the tequila generated from a cast trip and it’s the type of publicity that most products will never get early on.

Shamea wants to sell rum that SHE’s NEVER tasted. The peach rum she wants to do doesn’t exist. She wants a weird bottle shaped after her body. I don’t even think J Lo or Kim Kardashian at their height would try to market an alcohol bottle shaped like their body. Finally - it’s not like she is a rum expert or is even known to regularly drink rum.

I know of a celebrity who has invested in a rum company and it’s a labor of love. The investment was due to a genuine interest in the rum making process and the quality of the product. It is traditional rum (no weird flavors) and is priced on the high end for a rum consumer - $40-$45 a bottle.

Shamea would be better off partnering on regular rum already produced and not creating any special bottling. She may make a small amount of money, but it would be hard.

It looks like she isn’t advertising rum on her social media so who knows if she stayed with the idea.…

For my Reddit friends who are also into RHOP. I’m doing a re-watch of the last trip on RHOP. Cynthia took he job hosting the trip way more seriously than Angela. Cynthia actually treated it like a job.

Out of curiosity, what responsibilities does the woman have who hosts and how do the producers decide who will host?

I also didn’t like how Kelli and Shamea essentially pretended that the room was dirty so that they didn’t have to go to dinner. Correct me if you disagree, but the room was not too dirty to take a shower. It also just created more work for Cynthia that she didn’t need…

It‘s pretty much agreed that this season Shamea’s husband is miserable on camera. I went back and looked at last season. He wasn’t in a ton of scenes, but he was at least pleasant and smiling in his scenes last year.

Shamea appears to have a great life! Housewives is an incredibly difficult show on relationships. Hopefully her marriage will survive the show.

I have been keeping up with the Carlos King podcast particularly when RHOP was getting messy towards the end of last season. I’m a few weeks behind. Any interesting takes on RHOA from the past few weeks? Episodes 2-4?

What is up with Angela reading Pinky on a “wife in the basement” and then Pinky dropping receipts the next day showing that it is the name of a fictional book that she is writing? she showed a video summary of the book the next day like it’s going to be a made for tv movie.

Did Angela try to read her with bad information? Like maybe she heard about some wife in the basement and thought it sounded weird???

Doing a re-watch of Season 7. Pepe actually came off looking pretty good throughout the season. He formed a strong connection with Hannah, and was sad when she left. He had a harder time forming a connection with Grayson. He could have told her earlier. He did develop a connection with Iris. Unclear if it ever got to be the same as Hannah. Clearly, his connection was strong enough with Iris so that he didn’t further pursue Hannah.

I think Hannah wasn’t really sad when Charlie left. However, her feelings for Pepe grew. I think she had some hope that there would still be something there between them when he left the Villa. I think that’s why she didn’t pursue Charlie. She didn’t provide an explanation for not pursuing Charlie at the reunion.

At the reunion, Pepe and Iris both seemed fine. Both were clear that they were NOT boyfriend and girlfriend. They were happy and were figuring out dating.

After the reunion, Pepe had the “cheating scandal.”. Unclear what actually happened or even if they were exclusive. I haven’t looked at this closely, so feel free to weigh in.

During BTV, I think Hannah has been immature towards Pepe. Their is no need to call him a p***y in front of everyone in the bar and cameras. I am having a really hard time figuring out what Pepe actually did that was so horrible that the group is treating him this way. It’s a disservice to everyone - themselves, Pepe, and the audience, to be vague and generally mean. I skimmed some discussion and Jeremiah and Pepe and some after school program???

I did hear over the weekend Pepe describing getting anxiety while filming. He described not having any control over or knowledge of what people were saying on camera about him and how it was going to be edited. He talked about being eager to reconnect with family and friends anytime he filmed a scene because he didn’t want to be in his head worrying about things he couldn’t control. I actually felt bad for him.

If I’m missing something about the situation or he did something actually terrible, it’s almost more fair to know rather than these people going on all these platforms saying to millions of people - “trust us, he’s a terrible person. you don’t need to know why. he’s just terrible.”

Phaedra said Ayden was driving by age 12. How does that work??? Can you do that in Georgia?

I double checked the first episode of last season. Shamea had only known Kelli for a couple of years. It‘s interesting that she names Kelli her BFF and there is a significant bond between them this season

I could see Slutty Vegan really booming in terms of growth after this season. It gets mentioned every episode. I took a look at the menu - it actually has some appeal. It’s not health food vegan - it’s more like very heavy cheat meal but made vegan. I could see it getting traction in larger cities outside Georgia.

Just did my first re-watch of Season 7 since I’m in the middle BTV. I had never watched it after it originally aired. I have a series of random thoughts.

My first thought/question is why was Coco on Beyond the Villa? She was barely on Season 7. I wasn’t paying much attention to her post-Villa. Was she organically friends with anyone else on the show before the season aired? It seems like she reached out to Chris right before the season to date him. The timing was certainly a little odd if she didn’t have an organic connection.
