For anyone who owns this bag- how does it hold up over time?

I’m going to Italy this month and want to commemorate switching from an awful job and my first Mother’s Day with a bag! I love the look of this bag, but also want something relatively easy/carefree as a crossbody for everyday (with big items in a diaper bag). Also considering the LV Pochette Métis in black as well. Thanks in advance!
