Been reading posts like this all day on Reddit and hell ALL of it was negative and it got me wondering what do people even consider gaming ?? Hope devs read as well as others who felt the way I feel about the night market after playing majority of the day today on my day off.
I’m giving my thought based on me running with a group of 11 random pugs I met through group finder.
Loved the excessive amount of stronger mobs. Loved how they spawned quickly. Some of the bosses whooped my ass and hell it was fun. The skirmishes are very entertaining and actually very very difficult. Couple of them had us sweatin but we had it. The wandering bosses are a fun thing to fight. Challenging at times. I’d say the duneripper is the funniest cuz you just get swallowed up, loading screen, then load into a small area that’s complete chaos and like 200 things going on at once.
I’m huge on collecting/collections so really enjoying the achievements and styles and all that. Still got more content obviously to explore in the market so I know there is more goodies.
Love the jumping pad and the wings when jumping down from spawn tower. The mini games are still a bit hard to manage with everything going on around you but I played them and they were entertaining, though Il most likely stop playing them after achievements.
As for the cons, yes I even have a few bad thoughts.
My biggest ick with ESO is the shitty rewards at times. It’s like a bad dream you can’t escape, it just follows you everywhere in the game. NPC merchant has cool furnishings you can buy with gold when you hit certain honor, but it’s not as good as it could be. Furnishings in there should be grand, amazing, vfx, colorful. What pisses me off is I KNOW they could give us better.
Random overland very cheap gear in mainly blue as boss drops. It hurts. I’m tired of getting the same overland gear as a reward for everything. Give me better materials, no one needs blue mats. Give alchemy mats, perfect roe, more gold mat drops, give us random in game currency drops, perhaps another mount with leads. Make the mobs drop gold when killed, atleast a good amount.
Quests, it’s not the quest itself that’s the problem. It’s that it’s scattered all over the place. Do it like the daily crafting writs board. Just put a board up in each area of all the quests that area has so people can just grab it in one go.
It doesn’t really bother me but I know alot of people got bugged out about the grouping and unfortunately to make it worse for those people it’s almost like a trial type content, you will need 12 people in a group.
My only other thing is it’s fun for me but after 3 seasons, I do all 3 factions and then what ? Is the night market going to be upgraded ? Changed ? Hope they figure that part out.
I enjoyed the night market a lot. Regardless of the negative posts and comments I seen today from the people who religiously play solo for some reason and by all means refuse to group up. You can’t play an online game and be mad when you need to group up for content. Some of you need to break through that shell and just give it a try. Join a random group, start a random group, go and enjoy the new content. My only tip if you are dead set on being as anti social as possible is join a group through zone chat or group finder and very closely follow the crown or rank or whoever is in charge. Don’t break away from the group.
End gamers deserve some love too. Thank you devs for the awesome new night market.
