I need to get this out somewhere and maybe letting it out here will get it off of my mind (it's been living there rent free for a few days now).

A locals near me had a starter Deck event and I joined because who wouldn't? I can finally complete my playset of Aile Strike Gundam! I called in the day before and they said that the decks will be first-come first pick and the remaining stock would be available to buy after the tournament. I got there maybe 3 hours before they opened and was first in line to play. First thing I see on the door is a paper stating that the decks will be given out at random at the front. Not good. I decided to stick around (lost cost fallacy) and was lucky enough to be given ST01! Great!

Tournament starts off and I get a non-winning by. I decided to chat with the people at the front and they said that the decks would be sold based on arrival time. That was great news to hear because being given a by makes it harder to win the extra EX base promo. Tournament goes on and the three players that were given ST04 win the tournament. They each get an extra EX base promo AND it was announced that the extra decks would be sold based on tournament results. And there were no limits on what anyone could buy.

I'm maybe 4th in line so everyone in front of me naturally bought an extra deck for both ST01 and ST04. Both are now sold out. Not great. Now I'm stuck with two copies of Gundam and either need to commit to buy 2 more, sell to avoid spending more on them, or try my luck this week at another tournament an hour away from me to complete either playset.

I'm gonna go touch grass now, maybe that'll help clear my mind too.
