I’m currently considering a convertible unit in a newer luxury high-rise in Chicago (Streeterville / Lakeshore East area). The layout already has a semi-separated sleeping are. My main goal is actually to reduce noise from the kitchen/living area (fridge, etc.) and have a bit more separation when sleeping, so I’m thinking about adding something like a door or a divider at the opening. I know in NYC people use pressurized walls/flex walls (sometimes with doors), but I’m not sure if that’s a thing in Chicago high-rise buildings.
Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks!
