i hate those scooters for rent downtown.
i don't think people understand how dangerous they are AT. ALL..... i was taking pictures downtown on the mainstreet bridge and the amount of scooters that came FLYING down that tiny sidewalk with waist length railing is insane. i lost a family member a few years back because he was on an electric scooter with no helmet, had fallen on concrete- and went brain dead. i haven't seen ONE person wearing a helmet on those things and id say downtown is an arguably more dangerous environment to ride around in than a residential sidewalk.
edit: i see people comparing this logic to cars and im just saying i think more people rent scooters with the intent of just having fun than genuinely needing to get around- therefore the act stupid on them in ways cars cant... because there are traffic laws, also a seatbelt is a requirement- a helmet is not... to me the scooters are more dangerous.
