My boyfriend and I broke up briefly for 8 months (he was emotionally abusive and needed to work on himself) while we were apart, I never went on any dates or did anything with anyone. We were also not in contact.
I was out to eat at a restaurant that also has a bar, I met someone when I just moved to town. Was chatting, we walked to a brewery next door with the group they were with, and I discovered they lived at my complex.
Excited to find someone who was my age in the town I just moved to and in my complex.i saw him in the parking lot when i got back, he said hey here’s where i live if you need anything. He invited me in, offered me something to eat and drink (i declined) but I did come in and chat for maybe an hour.
He asked me to hang out a few times later but i never did. Never talked to him again.
Fast forward, my current boyfriend met this guy at work. The guy said he had met me at the restaurant one time. That’s all he said. That was enough to upset my boyfriend but he wasn’t mean about it.
Now I am concerned thinking I should disclose the whole interaction? Although there was no romantic intent, it wasn’t a date I could see him flying off the handle.
I just want to see if I’m an asshole for not disclosing this interaction.
