Met MMI with no diagnosis..
Context: I had a fall a few months ago. I injured my back and since then have progressively gotten worse. It started with sharp pain. Then I started getting shooting pain through my flank down my legs and feet. Three days ago I started getting numbness in my left leg.
Today I saw the doctor. The occupational health facility has changed which doctor I see 3 times now without approval from my MCO and without informing me until day of the appointments. That's besides the point.
I had an MRI on Friday, which was inconclusive. Upon seeing the doctor today they said that their "hands are tied" and there's nothing further that can be done. Then stated maybe this is from something unrelated to the injury, although I was perfectly fine, zero pain before my injury. I requested to have nerve testing and see a specialist. They stated "workers comp does not refer for that". Which I know is incorrect. But they refused to do so. They said I have reached MMI, even though I am still having changes and getting worse.
So now I have no answers and I'm left to question why I have severe chronic pain. I am unable to go back to work, as I am unable to perform my previous duties as a nurse. I have an appointment with my attorney tomorrow.
