Hey HVAC Heroes (sorry for being corny),

I'm currently looking at a dream house, with central air and forced hot air heating - great house, great school district great town... however, the biggest caveat is that it's 0.2 miles away (through a foret) from the busiest highway in the state.

With us having small kids, pollution and the long term health effects are a huge concern for us. We wanted to reach out and see if the experts could express their confidence, or lack thereof in these whole house filtration systems.

Do they really work for something like this? Would it give you enough confidence to move your family to such a location? Best brands and type of filters? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I found a dream home, but it's close to there highway. The noise doesn't bother me, but the health risk from pollution does.

How far is not far enough? This one is near a lake, and has a forest between it and the highway, however it is 0.2 miles away.
