Is Revo Pop 4 a good choice for a first scanner?
Sorry for yet another “which 3D scanner should I buy?” post 😅
I’ve been using Fusion 360 for about 7 years and Blender occasionally for the past 2 years. I’m looking into getting a 3D scanner mainly for DIY and reverse engineering projects: car dashboard accessories, custom storage parts, fitting armor/props to a person’s body size, etc.
I’d also like to scan relatively small parts, around 20x20x20 mm minimum. I don’t need metrology-grade accuracy, but I do want good scan quality and decent detail.
Right now I only have a desktop PC.
I’m currently considering the Revopoint POP 4 since it seems versatile enough for both medium objects and smaller parts. Does it make sense for my use case, or are there better alternatives in a similar price range?
