Yaknow, I might be stupid, but I'm not dumb. When a drop dead gorgeous woman like my gf tells you "hey, yaknow what would be a great idea? What if you put another train up near the ceiling in the livingroom?" You darned well better put another train up by the ceiling in her livingroom. So far I'm only a third of the way into trackwork, and had to stop when I broke the arm of the couch... oops... good thing it's a free couch that was already cracked... guess I need to figure out a new way to reach the back track. Lol

Yes, it's all on a bad slant. I had to do that in order to tie into the existing shelves over the doors, and go over the window. Whatever. The whole house is on a slant anyway. That's what happens when you find a house that's actually affordable in this economy.

Track is her grandpa's, plus a few stretches of modern flexi track added in to help get it aligned right between the different sized pieces of wood. Will slowly add a select few buildings and a handful of trees here and there where there's free space as well.

Not bad for about $50 in materials. (Plus track, roadbed, and buildings oc) Went together quickly, but I've been gathering for this for like eight months now. Today I just happened to get half a day off from work that I wasn't planning on.

The most satisfying part had to be that the TV corner needed two boards, one 34" one 34.25", and the boards that I happened to just pick up second hand over the weekend were 34.125" and were almost perfect! I couldn't have done that if I tried!
