The smart money is buying Prismatic while everyone else focuses on the brand new shiny Ascended.
With ETBs for both sets sitting at roughly the same price, any new capital should be going into Prismatic right now. Once Prismatic goes out of print, we’re likely looking at another 151 style scenario, and people are going to wish they prioritized Prismatic over Ascended while they had the chance.
I’m bullish on both sets long term, but for the rest of 2025 I’ll be hammering Prismatic like there’s no tomorrow. In 12 months time, Prismatic outperforms Ascended.
The play then will be to release some Prismatic and rotate some of those gains into Ascended.
