Tortured/Dark Artists

Been reexamining michael jacksons work in light of well, everything. Obviously different musical traditions, socioeconomic backgrounds, but gira, and jackson both artists with some darkness you’d say. What are some artists whose pain/hidden angst are you fans of akin to Gira, and what artist(s) darkness has only come to light after a long period, and may add nee dimension to the work that may not have previously presented itself?

What Season are You #11 Up

Up Up Up
Underrated as hell and a proof of concept they had more in the tank. This flip flops between contemplative and cozy fall day, and hazy late summer

First or second favorite album of theirs on a good day. You are legally required to go out to the mojave desert at dusk and dance to the greatest opener How the West Was Won, while that glorious vistas and summer scorch fries your noggin. If not possible, sitting on the patio as the sun goes down in mid july is acceptable.

Baseball films aside from the great indie film eephus are not as prominent anymore. My dream film that’s as much a baseball story as it is about race, excess, misogyny, etc is a biopic on the reds manager Marge Schott. Even a brief wiki read on her is just scratching the surface. In addition to a world series win, her psychology is just so fascinating and sad. My other dream is a three hour film on the whole steroid era. A real sex drugs and rock and roll affair that can culminate in a thrilling court room drama. What do you guys want to see depicted in a film or series?

Hola sad tomatoes. The glamy swagger it’s just too good. This is July to a T for me. Crush with eyeliner on an odd moment is my favorite song of theirs
